Materials
You can complete this course with as little as an HB pencil, an eraser and some paper so don't feel you need to go out and buy new things...they won't necessarily improve your drawing skills!
Here are the materials I'll be using throughout this course:
Pencils: 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B
Eraser: Kneadable putty eraser & Tombow mono zero eraser pen
Sketchbook paper: Acid-free with thickness of 110gsm/74lb. (89gsm/60lb or greater weight recommended).
Ruler
Pencil sharpener
Printer for worksheets (you can follow in your sketchbook if you don't have access to a printer)
Note: At times I use a Staedtler Mars Technico 2mm mechanical pencil. This is purely because I find it is the easiest to see on video, so you definitely do not need one. I also switch between brands of pencils. The brand is personal preference and ultimately unimportant. What matters is the dark or light value you can get from each pencil. As you go through the course you'll become more familiar with your own pencils and what you can get out of them.
If you are interested, you can see more about different brands of pencils in my Youtube video here: https://youtu.be/tQfEEbBmrU8
